Scripture: Genesis 41:39–41 – “Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, ‘Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. You shall be over my house, and all my people shall order themselves as you command.’”
Devotional:
Sometimes, greatness is hidden in plain sight. Joseph was just a young man with a vision, but many around him couldn’t see what God had placed in him. They mocked, rejected, and even tried to bury him because they couldn’t understand the process God was using to grow him.
But Joseph stayed faithful in the trenches. He didn’t wait for the approval of the masses; he walked in God’s timing and God’s plan. In the end, his vision came to pass—and the very people who tried to bury him were the ones who needed him most.
You may feel overlooked, undervalued, or even opposed right now. But God is still at work. What He is building in you cannot be buried. Trust His process, honor the calling He’s placed on your life, and keep faith in your season of preparation.
Reflection Questions:
Are you waiting for others to recognize your God-given calling, or are you walking faithfully in the trenches?
How can you honor God’s process in your life even when it’s hard to see the outcome?
Who in your life might you need to recognize and encourage today, even if the world doesn’t see their potential yet?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to see the potential You’ve placed in others and in myself. Strengthen my faith to trust Your timing, even when I feel overlooked. Let me remain faithful in the trenches, knowing that You are building something that cannot be buried. Amen.
