Don’t Let Go Until the Blessing Come

Monday Morning Manna
There are moments in life when you find yourself in a spiritual wrestle.
Not because you don’t believe God…
but because you are determined to see His promise manifest in your life.
In Genesis 32, Jacob wrestled through the night with a divine messenger. As the struggle continued, the messenger said, “Let me go, for the day breaks.”
But Jacob refused to release him and declared:
“I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.” — Genesis 32:26
Jacob understood something powerful.
Sometimes breakthrough comes after persistence.
The wrestle was not about defeat.
It was about transformation.
By morning, Jacob walked away with two things:
a blessing
and a limp
The limp was a reminder that encounters with God often change how we walk.
There are seasons when your faith must hold on through uncertainty, through delay, and through moments when answers seem just out of reach. But those are the very moments when God is shaping your character and strengthening your dependence on Him.
Your persistence in prayer, your determination to trust God, and your refusal to walk away empty-handed are signs of a heart that believes God’s promises are still true.
So if you find yourself in a spiritual wrestle today, don’t interpret it as rejection.
It may be the very place where God is preparing to bless you.
Hold on.
Morning is coming.
Reflection
What promise or prayer have you been tempted to release too soon?
Prayer
Father, give me the strength to hold on to Your promises even when the night feels long. Teach me to trust You in the wrestle and not to walk away before the blessing comes. Shape my character and strengthen my faith as I depend on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
