Divine Acceleration: When God Redeems Lost Time - Pt 1

ree

Key Verse:

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.”— Joel 2:25 (NKJV)

Devotional:

Have you ever looked back and thought, “I’ve lost so much time”?Maybe through detours, delays, mistakes, or circumstances beyond your control. The good news is that God has a way of redeeming lost years. His promise of divine acceleration means He can move you forward so quickly that you fulfill His purpose without missing what He ordained for your life.

Here’s how divine acceleration happens—even after seasons that seemed lost.

🌱 1. Believe in God’s Power to Restore Time

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” — Joel 2:25

God doesn’t just restore things—He restores time.He can make up for what was lost and give you grace to accomplish in months what others take years to do.

When God breathes on your life, His favor makes the pace supernatural.

Pray:“Lord, redeem my time. Multiply my steps. Accelerate what You’ve started in me.”

🚪 2. Walk in Alignment, Not Just Activity

“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim… one thing fast on the heels of the other.” — Amos 9:13 (MSG)

Divine acceleration isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what God said. When you align with His instruction, momentum follows.

Ask yourself:✅ Am I obeying what God last told me to do?✅ Have I surrendered my timeline to His?

You don’t need to chase opportunities; you just need to walk in alignment with His voice.

🔄 3. Repent and Release the Past

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” — Isaiah 43:18–19

Sometimes the greatest thief of time isn’t the enemy—it’s our own regret. When we stay stuck in shame, disappointment, or disobedience, we delay the next move of God.

Acceleration begins when you let go.Release the guilt, the “what-ifs,” and the people who were never meant to go into your next season.

🔥 4. Expect Sudden Moves

“Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon…” — Genesis 41:14

God doesn’t always move slowly. Sometimes, He moves suddenly.

Joseph waited years in obscurity, then in one moment—one divine opportunity—everything shifted. When divine acceleration comes, you won’t need long explanations. You’ll just need to be ready.

Stay positioned. Your “suddenly” moment is on the calendar of Heaven.

5. Stay Faithful in the Process

“Let us not grow weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” — Galatians 6:9

Acceleration doesn’t mean skipping the process—it means gracefully catching up to where you’re meant to be.

While you’re waiting, God is building the structure to sustain your next season. He’s strengthening your character so you can handle the weight of the blessing that’s coming.

Don’t quit now. You’re closer than you think.

Reflection:

  • What area of your life feels like “lost time”?

  • Where might God be asking you to realign or release something?

  • Are you expecting Him to move suddenly, even after delay?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being the Redeemer of time. I surrender every lost year, every delay, and every disappointment to You. Align my steps with Your timing and accelerate what You’ve begun in me. I trust You to restore, renew, and reposition me for divine purpose. In Jesus’ name, amen.
