Key Scripture:
“Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet… turn not to the right hand nor to the left.”— Proverbs 4:25–27
As we come to the last Monday of our first month in 2026, I want to encourage you to remain grounded in what God has been emphasizing in this season—Holy Focus.
Throughout January, during my online wellness calls, our monthly topic has been Holy Focus, anchored in Proverbs 4:25. This scripture is a clear instruction from God: keep your eyes forward, stay attentive to the path before you, and resist the temptation to drift to the right or to the left.
Holy focus is not about striving—it’s about alignment.
As we transition into February, my encouragement is simple but necessary: don’t get distracted now. New seasons often bring excitement, but they can also bring noise, pressure, and comparison. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. When the Kingdom remains our priority, everything else finds its proper place.
We are also instructed in Colossians 3:2 to set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. This requires intentionality. Focus doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a daily decision to keep showing up to what God has entrusted to you—even when progress feels slow or unseen.
Every assignment God gives us has a beginning, a middle, and a finish. Many celebrate the beginning, but the middle is where endurance is developed. The middle is where patience is required. And it’s in the middle that we must remember to run our race and stay in our lane.
As we continue to do what God is guiding us to do, He makes us a promise:
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee.”— Isaiah 26:3
Lately, I’ve noticed a tremendous amount of peace in my own life. Even when questions arise—Lord, am I doing what You’ve called me to do? Am I where You want me to be?—I’m reminded to let peace be my umpire. Peace has become confirmation. Peace has become assurance.
Finally, Scripture encourages us to allow patience to have its perfect work, so that we are lacking nothing. When we stay focused, remain patient, and continue walking in obedience, God faithfully completes what He started.
These reflections are rooted in what we’ve been unpacking together during my online wellness calls this month.
As we move forward into February, may we continue with holy focus, clear vision, and steady obedience—trusting God to lead us, keep us, and finish the work.
🌿 Reflections: Staying the Course
As you close this month and step into February, take a moment to reflect:
Where is God calling me to keep my eyes forward and not look left or right?
What distractions—subtle or loud—have tried to pull my focus away from my assignment?
Am I seeking the Kingdom first, or have other priorities taken its place?
Am I remaining faithful in the middle of what God started?
Do I recognize peace as confirmation, allowing it to guide my decisions?
Remember, every race has its own pace and path. Your responsibility is not to run someone else’s race—but to stay in your lane, remain obedient, and trust God with the outcome.
As patience completes its work, you will find yourself lacking nothing—focused, grounded, and kept in perfect peace.
